Description Ankle boot with buckles, dark-brown
These very robustly made medieval shoes with brass buckles are ankle high on the shaft. This simple shoe shape was particularly popular among soldiers from around 1250 to 1500. The shoe can therefore be assigned to the late Middle Ages. The smooth leather sole has a small heel.
Details:
- Material: cowhide leather
- Thickness approx. 2mm
- Smooth leather sole: approx. 7 mm thick
- Color: dark brown
- Standard available in sizes: 39 to 47
Please note:
The robustness of shoes based on historical patterns may not meet modern requirements! They are quite sensitive on asphalt, concrete blocks and gravel. These floor coverings did not exist in the Middle Ages! We therefore recommend retrofitting with rubber soles from your chosen cobbler if you walk a lot on hard surfaces. We would also like to point out that leather is a natural product and that variations in color and/or grain are quite common. Therefore, no two pairs of these leather shoes are the same and the images above are for exemplary purposes only.
