This beautiful, diamond-shaped pendant with cross is based on an original find. Its corners are adorned with effigies of the dwarves Norðri, Suðri, Austri and Vestri, who, in Norse mythology (Poetic Edda and Prose Edda), represent the four cardinal points or wind directions. Together, the four creatures uphold the heavens that the gods created from Ymir's skull – Nordri in the north, Sudri in the south, Austri in the east, and Westri in the west.
